Tras extensas consultas, en octubre de 2009 la Conferencia General de la UNESCO, en su 35ª reunión, aprobó la Resolución 35 C/15, por la que se decide celebrar la primera Conferencia Mundial sobre Atención y Educación de la Primera Infancia (la Conferencia) en Moscú (Federación de Rusia) en septiembre de 2010 (Anexo). En búsqueda de la equidad y calidad de la educación de la primera infancia en América Latina
Reafirmando la Declaración Universal de los Derechos Humanos y la Convención sobre los Derechos del Niño, la Declaración Mundial sobre Educación para Todos, adoptada en Jomtien en 1990 y renovada en Dakar en 2000, reconoce el derecho humano de cada persona niño, joven o adulto a la educación, con el fin de satisfacer las necesidades básicas de aprendizaje desde el nacimiento a lo largo de la vida. How to Get Better Feedback from Students
It’s that time of the year when end-of-course ratings and student comments are collected. When the feedback arrives, the quality often disappoints—and if the feedback is collected online, fewer students even bother to respond. Most of the comments are dashed off half thoughts, difficult to decipher. Complaints aren’t accompanied with constructive suggestions. Yes, some do say really nice things, but others sound off with pretty awful comments. However, I don’t think students are entirely at fault here. Read more...
